With Core 003 Fellmann & Louise are moving towards Airplay. The more you cry is dancefloor and living room. They preserved the richness of ideas of their first maxi and added a proper pop format at the same time. Sounds great. Arcane Blues-voices, hopping kick-snares and typically F&L-harmonies. Their characteristic Funk is concealed in and between the song`s/piece`s many electronic-licks. The passages reserved for solos - in classic radio songs - are filled with tricky beat-breaks. Vienna Scientists have already shown interest in licensing The More You Cry & for their compilation series, recognizing the song`s/piece`s hit-qualities.
On the B-side DJ Kabuki shows how to deal with remixes in a sensitive way, taking Fellmann & Louise`s first 12" Lie as pattern for his Drum & Bass track. DJ Kabuki succeeds in maintaining the fragile elegance of Fellmann & Louise`s track and in creating a kicking floor-filler that bears his own mark.
